The Headquarters of the Dubai police has denied knowledge of the arrest of the CEO of embattled gold firm Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, as widely reported in the media.
Checks with the police in Dubai uncovered that they had not captured any Ghanaian national over the most recent couple of weeks in connection to a gold trick as it’s been accounted for in Ghana by a few news sources.
“We have not captured any Ghanaian national with that name [Nana Appiah Mensah] in our framework,” A Dubai knowledge officer revealed to Starr News’ Ibrahim Alhassan.
The most recent disclosure by the Dubai Intelligence Unit pursues wide reports in Ghana on Sunday night that the Menzgold manager had been captured in Dubai.
NAM 1, who is on the police needed rundown for swindling by affectation, was anyway captured over supposed deception to security experts in Dubai.
Mr Mensah apparently arrived in Dubai toward the end of last year in the desire for recovering some $39 million owed Menzgold by a Dubai-based organization, Horizon Royal Diamonds DMCC, for the supply of gold.
