Investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has sued the Multimedia Group Limited and three of its staff for defamation.
Anas is requesting harms including costs, legal counselors charges over remarks made by the Assin Central Member of Parliament on February 26, 2019, which he says harmed his notoriety for being a legal advisor and all-around acclaimed insightful columnist.
The suit peruses: “In result, the offended party’s notoriety, particularly as a legal counselor and an all-around acclaimed analytical writer, has been offensively harmed and he has endured weakening pain and humiliation. Further, he has been immersed with various calls from business partners, columnists relationship around the globe, social relations and companions and by and large outsiders, and he has needed to respond to extremely embarrassing inquiries”.
The suit further contends that the three Multimedia staff Benjamin Kwabena Asante (moderator of Adom TV and host of Badwam Mpensempensemu), Dominic Kissi Yeboah (TV program maker at Adom TV and maker of Badwam Mpensempensemu) and Abdulai Awudu (General Manager of Multi TV) enabled the slanderous material to be distributed about him by Mr Agyapong.
As indicated by the announcement of case, the litigants by a visitor they had welcomed on mainstream Adom TV morning political show Badwam Mpensempensemu, communicate and distributed as well as/caused to be communicated and distributed disparaging words on the offended party.
